We have all been there, there’s a great moment with the kids. You share it on your social network of choice, which is great for a lot of people, but not so great for some of the more technically challenged members of your family.
With a stroke survivor mother, I have spent a lot of time trying to think about easy ways to share images and news. That is a big reason as to why I developed Tapgram. What I like about Famatic is the ability for family members to easily see photos and videos as well as tap little replies.
It’s essentially an Android tablet built as a picture frame. The user interface looks clean and easy. I hope this team gets funded. They have aimed most of their target at grandparents, but I see this also helping people who have communication or motor disabilities. My mom has aphasia as a result of her stroke and I can see her getting a lot of use out of this.
With all the different ways we have to communicate, its nice to see a product that, if it delivers on its ease of use, will help lots of people feel more connected and in the social loop.
