The Best (Fake) Camp For Spoiled Children
Now that the school year is fully in swing, and all the "What did you do this summer?" show and tell conversations have been had, I'd like to tell you a little bit about a fake summer camp that I created this summer for my two kids who were going ...
This is a hysterical video featuring kids singing their pleas to get their parents to log off of their computers and Facebook. I think the “One Minute Finger” with one hand on keyboard is a pretty typical pose these days.
It’s too true and very funny. It promotes TheLogoff and as created for my current favorite mom site, Momfilter.
My new favorite curators of the curious and cool over at Archie McPhee are selling Titanic shaped ice cubes trays. They even come with an iceberg shaped glass. Now, that’s a way to add some class to your G&T. It’s also a wonderful education opportunity for the kids. You can about one of our favorite cocktails as well as educate them about a historical tragedy. Bonus!
We all dreamed of having their very own flying vehicle from the moment Chitty Chitty Bang Bang appeared on screen. And now, you can put it to the test.
It’s going up for auction on May 15th and expected to get anywhere from $1-2mm. So bring your checkbook Dad!
Why read in bed when you can read your bed? Turn the pages when you feel a bit chilly or too warm. I love this design by Yusuke Suzuki that opens up a ton of possibilities for storytime.
This is a delicious candy bar. It’s like an up-market Snickers®, but with all the ingredients taken up several notches. I tried my first recently and just can’t stop thinking about it. From their website
We use the best ingredients available: full flavored, 65% chocolate, freshly roasted Virginia peanuts, muscovado brown sugar from Mauritius, to name just a few.
But its not all about the ingredients. They put some serious thought into their technique:
…we make our nougat and caramel in small batches to make sure we achieve the perfect smooth and sensual texture we prefer. We roast and salt our own peanuts to get the optimal crunch and freshness. Once we’ve created all of the elements of the bar we dip each one into our rich dark Ecuadorian chocolate.
I’m so glad that I can buy them close to my home. Or am I?
I really like this new indoor modern playhouse from Cedarworks. It has a bunch of star-shaped holes on the ceiling, and a full wall chalkboard as well. At $795 (plus shipping), its a lot more expensive than a cardboard box. But such is the price of style.
